Cum si cand ati descoperit muzica rap?
(M.P.):Pe parcurs,bine de mic auzisem piese rap,da nu le simteam,pana cand am descoperit piesa Ciuraru-Unu si unu,parea numa distractie si i-am mai cautat alte piese,am ascultat si am dat peste piese mai serioase in care oarecum ma regaseam,si de aici am inceput sa descopar muzica rap,sa o simt si sa-mi dau seama cu ce se mananca.Asta a fost cam acu’s 3-4 ani.

Obie Trice Leaves Shady Records

After weeks of rumours Obie Trice has confirmed his departure from Eminem’s Shady Records.

Speaking to AllHipHop.com, Obie’s manager Terry Wilson revealed the rapper has left Shady Records amicably to focus on his own Worldwide Hustle record label.

"Obie and Shady were moving in different directions," said Wilson. "But he still has a great relationship with Shady Records. He has some big plans for his Worldwide Hustle label."

Obie recently released a track online called "Giant" addressing his departure. During the song it is implied Shady Records’ parent company Interscope were the main reason he left the label.

During his eight years with Shady Records, Obie Trice released two albums - 2003’s platinum selling "Cheers" and 2006’s "Second Rounds On Me." A third album is planned for release this year entitled "Bottom’s Up."

Obie’s relationship with Eminem is said to still be intact and Eminem will still work with Obie on his future projects.

Phillip Bernard, better known as Grafh, (born on August 22, 1982, in Jamaica, Queens, New York City), is an American rapper. His early years were spent in a climate submerged in the infamous crack wars of the 1980s. Attempting to avoid these pitfalls, a young Phillip took on rhyming as a past time. Unfortunately, street life would take charge in a way he never expected. A neighborhood mentor was gunned down right in front of Phillip; following that, he witnessed his father’s murder. With two close and sudden losses, Phillip was caught in a blend of mourning, rage, revenge, and a sense of providing a life for him and his mother. A rough time indeed, but he believed in the adage, "God never gives a burden too heavy to carry or overcome." With the help of a friend of his father, Phillip was encouraged to stay clear of the perils of the street. The family friend asked Phillip to consider other careers with more certainty and longevity than rap music, even making him promise to finish school. But Phillip didn't exactly keep his promise; with one foot in the street, his entire mind, body, and soul were dedicated to music.

At this time he took on the name Grafh, due to his talent for graphically painting pictures with his lyrics, and to insure his father's friend didn't hear of his street exploits and neighborhood rap battles. Grafh hit the rap circuit on a mission and it wasn't long before word of Grafh’s raw talents reached the office of Black Hand Entertainment, a Jamaica, Queens based record label with strong street ties. Once the rapper and record label staff eventually met, Black Hand’s CEO was surprised: Grafh was Phillip and the CEO was Chaz Williams, the family friend who’d told the young man to stay away from trouble. He is featured on the soundtrack to Dame Dash's Ultimate Hustler which is on BET.

DMX Arrives Late To Court, Pleads Not Guilty To Drug and Animal Abuse Charges

Here we go again. DMX showed up late for a court hearing today in his drug and animal cruelty cases, but a judge overlooked the lapse as the rapper plead not guilty to charges, according to the Associated Press.Last week, the former Ruff Ryders star was arrested twice and indicted on a number of counts. He was charged with 11 counts overall, among them felony marijuana and paraphernalia possession and seven counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty.The animal cruelty charges stem from an August incident when police raided the Phoenix, Arizona home of DMX and found neglected pit bulls. The dogs were dehydrated and underfed. Three of the animals were found buried in his backyard.The rapper is due back in court July 2.

KANYE WEST Goes Otherworldly As 'Glow' Tour Hits NYC

Kanye West's Glow in the Dark tour made its long-awaited touchdown at New York's Madison Square Garden last night (May 13), and one got the sense this was the show for which West has been preparing his entire life.

The artist took to his moonlit, smoke-filled, planet-like stage in jeans, a sweater missing one sleeve, elaborate shoulder pads and a red windbreaker tied around his waist.

Beginning with "Good Morning," West informed the crowd that he was a space traveler who'd crashed on a planet devoid of creativity. West's music and performance merely provided the soundtrack to his escape from planet non-creative, if you will. West even had a "Knight Rider"-like talking computer named Jane, helping him through this difficult predicament.

"Remember, this isn't your first crash," said Jane just before West performed "Through The Wire." "Champion," "Get 'Em High," "Diamonds Are Forever," "Can't Tell Me Nothing," with flames flying each time the song's "oh" sample dropped, followed, and during "Flashing Lights," West danced until he eventually humped the planet-like stage.

Things got even more conceptual when West and Jane attempted to "escape" the planet using the shooting stars mentioned in "Flashing Lights." Alas, they couldn't, and crashed back down to the earthen stage. After "Drunk and Hot Girls," "Spaceship" and "Gold Digger," West called out and promised God that "if you get me out of here, I promise to stop talking sh*t and spazzing out at awards shows. I just want to go home."

It seems like God heard West, because after "Jesus Walks" and an emotion-filled performance of "Hey Mama," Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" boomed through Madison Square Garden. "Stronger" was next, while West stabbed at Jane's buttons on an oversized motherboard displayed on a giant stage screen, frantically preparing for liftoff.

"We need the brightest star in the universe. We need you Kanye. You can glow in the dark," chirped Jane.

There's no doubt the set was extremely creative and the concept was amazing. West's stamina, performing alone for almost two hours without any special guests, or real breaks was breathtaking. Each song was a new arrangement, adding new chords or more drums, among other tweaks. However, West seemed to be so involved in the narrative that he didn't directly speak to the crowd once.

Hopefully, West's next headlining tour will not only take his fans to another world, but include a little interaction as well.

Lupe Fiasco opened, performing on an unfairly tiny stage in a black sparkly Polo and shiny black jeans. The set featured "Go Go Gadget Flow," "Paris, Tokyo," "Fighters" and "Superstar," the latter two of which found backup singers Matthew Santos and Sarah Green trading high notes. Fiasco also held up a plaque celebrating gold certification (500,000 copies) for his sophomore album, "The Cool."

N.E.R.D. was next up, flanked by three pianists, including Chad Hugo, two drummers, one guitarist and two stationary hype men. Pharrell Williams hopped around the stage, performing "Anti," and "Brain" before shouting, "I can't believe N.E.R.D. finally made it to MSG! How many came to get your money's worth?" The set closed with current single "Everybody Nose" and the 2004 hit "She Wants To Move."

Rihanna, the only female on the bill, was by far the most interesting and interactive performer of the evening. Clad in a black layered-lace gown with a hood, the singer hit the stage to Nelly Furtado's "Maneater," backed by two guitarists, a drummer and four dancers. Beyond her own tracks like "Breaking Dishes," "Pon De Replay" and "SOS," the artist covered M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes" and Lauryn Hill's "Doo Wop (That Thing)."

Ditching the dancers for two background singers, the West Indian pop star then gave heartfelt renditions of "Hate That I Love You" and "Unfaithful." Closing her set with "Umbrella," Rihanna shared that she "fell in love with the song instantly -- it was the 'eh eh eh.'" Chris Brown, her rumored boyfriend, joined her for their "Umbrella" remix, "Cinderella," but each left the stage without any discernable displays of affection.

II Trill is the second solo studio album by UGK member Bun B. It is the follow-up to his highly successful debut album Trill. It was mentioned that after the death of his life-long friend and companion Pimp C, due in part to an accidental overdose, he as likely to "ban the syrup talk on his new CD."The album was originally set to be released on April 29, 2008 but was pushed back to May 20. The album will feature lyrics pertaining to political and social issues, as well as a tribute track to Pimp C.

Some of the artists set to appear on the album include: Sean Kingston, Pimp C, Lupe Fiasco, Lil Wayne, David Banner, Rick Ross, Mýa, Chamillionaire, Slim Thug, Webbie, Mike Jones, 8Ball & MJG, Z-Ro, Junior Reid, and Expensive Taste (consisting Paul Wall, Travis Barker, and Skinhead Rob).

The first single "That's Gangsta," featuring Sean Kingston and produced by J. R. Rotem, was released on February 19, 2008.

The second song to be released from II Trill is "Damn I'm Cold," featuring Lil Wayne and produced by CHOPS. The song was sent out May 6, 2008 and is garnering a great amount of buzz.

A sampler of the album has been released.

Rumors about GAME's future album,L.A.X.

Background

On December 31, 2007, The Game announced at Nas' New Year's Eve party the title and release date of the album.The album's title was originally "The D.O.C.", but was changed to "L.A.X.". It was reported near mid-March that The Game had left prison. His manager later stated that he was still in jail, but he is expected to be released in time to promote the album.He was released after serving eight days, and went back to work with Cool & Dre.Dre (of Cool & Dre), stated The Game was like 'Pac, and that lyrically, he was "[somewhere] else right now".

The album was pushed back to June 24, as well as rival group G-Unit's sophomore album Terminate on Sight.But was later changed to July 8, as Interscope moved both albums.

On May 1st, The Game told Power 106 that "Big Dreams" might not be on the album.

The Game announced that Dr. Dre will be producing for the album but neither Dr. Dre nor Aftermath Entertainment have confirmed.Nu Jerzey Devil has stated that Dr. Dre, Scott Storch, and Cool & Dre will be producing for the album.On March 28 on the Tim Westwood show, The Game said that he has been in the studio with Scott Storch, Cool & Dre and Just Blaze. He also said that he has "made shit for the clubs" with Scott Storch. On May 1st, The Game told Power 106 so far he has worked with Just Blaze, Kanye West, Cool & Dre, Scott Storch, Timbaland, Ervin "E.P." Pope, Jelly Roll & Tre Beats.

Born Again is the name of a posthumous album by The Notorious B.I.G.. It was released on December 7, 1999. Unlike Life After Death, this album was created with no input from Biggie himself and was mostly comprised of old and unreleased verses with new production and guest rappers. Along with the usual guest roster of P. Diddy, Lil' Kim, and Junior M.A.F.I.A., the album also featured appearances from Nas, Ice Cube, Eminem, Mobb Deep, Method Man, Redman, Beanie Sigel, Too Short, Snoop Dogg, and the Hot Boys. He flaunts his association with a criminal organization and collects felony charges like baseball cards. But he’s a fixture at the top of the charts, a father with a family-oriented reality series and a favorite on daytime talk shows for the soccer-mom set. How does Snoop Dogg do it? He’s a Libra. He’s balanced.

“Sensual Seduction” took people by surprise. Why release what’s basically an R&B record as your first single?
There was no strategy. My boy Shawty Redd wrote the song, and once I sent it back, he started playing it in the clubs in Atlanta. He’s like, “This muthafucka is a big record.” When I played it for my peoples, they didn’t feel it at first—not my immediate people, my record-label people. They were like, “Eh.” I was like, “Fuck what y’all talking about, I’m putting this shit out. This is some fly shit. It’s my career, anyway.”

Your label does have a lot of money invested in you.
I don’t give a fuck if they have money invested in me. It’s me that makes them have money to be invested in me. I’m the only thing going over there. Well, I’m the best thing going over there. I’ll say it like that. It’s no disrespect. It is what it is. You don’t get what you get out of a regular artist what you get out of Snoop Dogg. You getting everything. You getting cool, you getting funny, you getting gangster, you getting pop, you getting streets, you getting Whites, you getting Blacks, you getting old, young. You get all that with Snoop Dogg. Them artists that they got only got one genre of fans. You can’t spread them out all over the table like me. I’m the only muthafucka that can do porno, coach football and have a cooking show.

Is the reality show promotion for the album?
Nah. They been asking me to do a reality show for five years, and this is the perfect time, because me and my family is coming together now. It just gives you the context of me as a real person, as opposed to all the fake shit and negative shit you hear about me all the time in the media.

Do you ever worry about what effects it might have? Ozzy’s son went to rehab. Nick and Jessica divorced. Britney and K-Fed. Any concern over putting your family on camera?
Have you seen Run’s House? They doing just fine. [Pause] ’Cause they Black. Black families don’t do all that bullshit like the White families do. This is bonding time, because this is helping us out. Somebody in the family wants to be a star. Someone wants to do this. So we’re looking at it like capitalizing off the moment. We’re not going to blow this moment and have a fallout.

Who wants to be the star?
My daughter and my wife. But ain’t nothing wrong with it.

Back to the album. Initially, there weren’t supposed to be any guest artists on Ego Trippin’. Why the switch?
It just happened. That might be me ego-tripping. The real ego-tripping on this record is that I let people write songs for me.

Singing songs? Rapping songs?
Everything.

Have you run out of things to say yourself?
Nah. I’m ego-tripping. I was watching Diana Ross getting inducted into a Hall of Fame, and she got up there and named all these great songwriters. Her biggest songs were written by somebody else. So I’m thinking, Wow, there’s nothing wrong with my pen, but I’m going to let other people write for me.

Has the recording process become easy?
Yeah, because I know what I want. When you know what you want, you aim for it and shoot for it. I was talking to Quincy Jones. He told me that, when he used to make records, there was a target they used to aim for, whether it was a No. 1 song or a hot artist. If you aim for a target, you’re either going to hit it or go higher. That’s what I’m on right now.

Who are you targeting?
Right now, Kanye West got the best rap album out, to me. So I’m aiming for him. And when I say I’m aiming for him, I’m just aiming to have a record as clean, as fly as his shit is.

So making music is easier now. But are you a better rapper now, or back in 1993?
I was probably a little doper back then, because I was more into rapping. Right now, I’m into creating a lot of shit. Back then, I was just into rap—the style, the flow, fucking you up, the baddest muthafucka, the coldest vocalist. Now I’m not into that. I can sit back and take a backseat and watch them do a Top 10 hottest rappers right now, and my name ain’t in there, and it don’t bother me.

It doesn’t bother you at all?
Ten, 12 years ago, if they would have ever had a Top 10 without my name in it, I would have went off on the niggas in the Top 10 and the niggas who did the Top 10.

I noticed that painting of Tupac over there. Did you ever view him as competition?
He was never competition for me, because he was my brother, my homeboy. Anybody that I get down with, I don’t ever view them as competition. Even, like, Game. I view Game like my family. He’s not competition to me. So when people say, “Game said that he brought the West Coast back, and Game was saying this…” That’s my brother. He’s supposed to say that. He’s a young gorilla. When I was a young gorilla, Ice Cube had the game on lock. And in so many ways, I was saying I was the baddest muthafucka. No disrespect to him, but you have to say that and mean that and feel that.

Suge Knight has said that you and Tupac got into it right before he died.
He told you that?

He didn’t tell me that. But it’s been printed. He told XXL.
He said me and ’Pac got into it?

You’ve heard that before, c’mon.
We had a misunderstanding. Our thing was, if someone is on you, they on me. He had a problem with Biggie and Puffy, and I did an interview with Angie Martinez when we was in New York, and she asked me how I felt about Biggie and Puffy, and I said I was cool. That triggered an emotion in him, because he wanted me to say, ‘Fuck Biggie and fuck Puffy.’ But I didn’t feel like that about them, for the simple fact that they didn’t really even want to fight him. He was fighting some guys that didn’t even want to fight him. It’s like, if I act and step in, we’re going to kill these niggas. And it don’t even matter. I’d gotten to the point in my life where I just beat my murder case, and I was more forgiving and humble and sympathetic, and the gangster in me just turned down. And he was so used to me being Snoop Dogg the muthafuckin’ killer that, when he heard that, it just fucked him up, like, “These niggas tried to kill me, and you ain’t riding with me.”

But it wasn’t like that. We didn’t even talk about it. We went to the plane, and them niggas didn’t say nothing to me all the way home, five and a half hours. My Rolls was there. His Rolls was there. I got out the plane. I was like, “Cuz, you going to the fight?” [Mike Tyson vs. Bruce Seldon, Sept. 7, 1996, Las Vegas] He looked at me like, “I don’t know.” I jumped in my car and rolled out. Next time I seen him, he’s laying in the bed, half-dead.

Los Angeles Judge Reinstates Biggie Smalls Wrongful Death Lawsuit

A Los Angeles judge reinstated a wrongful death suit filed by the family of The Notorious B.I.G. after an earlier decision claimed a prior lawsuit failed to meet a state-mandated deadline.

According to the Associated Press, an appeal made by the family was granted and the decision reversed.

Judge Florence-Marie Cooper of the U.S. District Court tossed out the lawsuit March 21 on grounds that the suit missed a state deadline on the case, which brought a claim against the city of Los Angeles and two former police officers. The suit was first brought up in superior court before it moved to the federal district.

Initially Judge Cooper gave the family 20 days to file a new lawsuit. But when the family failed to meet the deadline she threw out the lawsuit.

This lawsuit is the second filed by the family of The Notorious B.I.G. against the city of Los Angeles. In 2002 Voletta Wallace, Faith Evans and her two children filed a wrongful death suit and civil rights violation. The case ended in a mistrial. The judge in the case, however, has allowed the family to amend the suit because of more evidence that has been discovered.

The Notorious B.I.G. was gunned down in Los Angeles on March 9 after leaving a party thrown by VIBE magazine. His life will soon hit the big screen in a movie adaption of the book “Unbelievable: The Life, Death, and Afterlife of the Notorious B.I.G.” Fellow Brooklyn rapper Gravy has been cast to play the Bad Boy emcee.

In honor of the 10-year anniversary of DMX’s classic 1998 debut It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot, XXL tracked down the elusive Dark Man X in Arizona to discuss what it was like making the album (that story in the May issue, on stands now). We also got the scoop on his present state of mind. In December 2007, having been released from his Sony contract earlier in the year, X inked a deal with Bodog Music, a division of the Canadian online gaming company Bodog Entertainment. Due later this year, his next projects are two separate albums called Walk With Me Now and You’ll Fly With Me Later. The former disc will be devoted to straight rap, while the latter is X’s first gospel-rap endeavor, which comes as no surprise given his spiritual background. Both feature production by his longtime collaborators Swizz Beatz, PK and Davine Bars. In the last week of January we caught up with the Yonkers MC and chatted about the status of his current project, the shape rap is in, and some guy named Obama.

There’s talk of a new album for you. When’s that coming out, like what’s up with that? Can you tell me what stage you’re at as far as recording?
Well, I’m bout to start working on the gospel album.

Yeah, the gospel album. It’s like a double album right?
It’s two different albums. Two albums, separate albums. I got a couple more tracks to do on it and that’s done. It’s the first time anybody did anything like this—two separate albums on the same day.

What made you want to release a gospel album now?
I’ve done gospel songs on every album. I figured I’d just dedicate a whole album to it.

Right. Can you tell me signing to Bodog, how that came about?
I don’t even really remember how it came about. Some real shit, I don’t remember who did what about what. I remember when I met ‘em it was in Miami.

You met who?
I met, you know, the people from Bodog in Miami and we had dinner and it was just a good vibe, good energy.

When was that? Do you remember?
No.

But you were still signed to Sony at the time?
Nah, I had already gotten a release.

What happened with the situation at Sony? You weren’t happy there, right?
Nah, they did my whole shit—they just fucked my whole project up.

As far as marketing and stuff?
Every way. Every possible way.

So as far as this album, what should people expect from this album? What’s your mind state? What kind of songs are you doing?
Banging joints, just like the last album. Just banging joints. I’ll have a couple of ’em on my MySpace page in a couple days.

Okay, you’re on MySpace now?
I been there.

How do you feel about the digital—like, everything going through the Internet as far as…
I don’t even think about it. I don’t even think about it.

The music business is pretty much going in that direction.
I don’t know. That’s just… that’s probably not… People want the actual CDs not no shit that’s disposable.

It’s like the ringtone rappers are the guys that are selling right now.
Good for them, good for them. I’m glad they eating right now.

You don’t feel a certain way about that.
Nah, I don’t even think about it, for real. I mean, it’s a waste of energy to think about what somebody else is doing and how they doing it. I’ma just do what I do. All that shit is a headache.

What do you think about where the rap game is right now? Do you think it’s in a good space? ’Cause rap sales are down.
We’re coming around to a good space. Quietly, a good position.

Sales are down, though.
It goes in cycles.

Right, but do you think there’s a reason that rap isn’t selling like it was in your day?
Yeah ’cause niggas ain’t saying nothing. People ain’t saying nothing. Ain’t but so many people… Some people buy records just to dance to ’em. Some people buy records to listen to the radio. And there’s people that buy records ’cause they listen to every song. They not feeding the people properly.

You mean the artists?
Yeah, the artists. It’s the same ole bullshit. That’s how it get. There has to be some fuckin’ substance.

Do you think it’s a good thing that Southern music is pretty much dominating the game? There’s no cats from New York, you know. It seems like there hasn’t been in awhile. What do you think about that?
What do I think about Southern music?

Yeah.
I really don’t think about it.

You don’t think about it?
I really don’t care for it. To focus on other shit is a fuckin’ headache.

Right. So what artists are you listening to right now?
Same ones I been listening to—Nas and Scarface.

Have you recorded any songs for the new album?
Yeah, half the album is pretty much done, the gospel album.

The single is a joint called “All Ready.”

What were you doing in between—from the last album to this one, that whole time? What have you been up to?
Life. I been up to that. It’s been crazy. Fuckin’ police keep on fuckin’ raiding my house and shit for nothing. They took all my fuckin’ guns. All they did is take is take my guns. All they fuckin’ do is fuck my house up and take my guns. That’s all they did. Straight robbed me—that’s what they did.

Are you happy with how your last two albums did as far as sales?
Oh yeah, I’m happy. I’m happy with whatever they do.

Would you ever think about becoming the president of a label, like running your own label?
Yeah, probably.

There was a video on the Internet recently, I don’t know if you saw it, like with you in the studio.
Nah, didn’t see it.

It was like you in the studio and I guess some other producer and you were recording some songs and you were talking about some random stuff. Do you remember that?
Yeah, I think so.

People were really concerned about you or whatever.
That was a while ago. I didn’t see it.

Do you remember when you were in the studio?
Vaguely. I’d just flown in or something. I know I was tired as a muthafucka.

Tired from recording?
I just flew in. I just flew in.

Do you worry about people getting the wrong perception of you?
No, I really don’t. People could say what they want. I don’t really care. I don’t give a fuck.

Clearly, yeah.
Anything that’s not positive, I don’t have the energy to focus on it. Anything that’s not going in the right direction I don’t have the time or the energy. If somebody step to my face, I’ma take care of ’em, that’s something different. What people think, I don’t give a fuck about none of that shit ’cause they ain’t putting money in my pocket. They ain’t taking no money out of my pocket. They all suck dick when they see me so it really doesn’t matter.

Are you following the presidential race?
Not at all.

Ice Cube to Stream SXSW Performance, Preps New Album

Ice Cube’s March 15 performance at the South by Southwest (SxSW) music and film festival in Austin, TX will be streamed live on his real-time online television network, UVNTV. Launched earlier this year, UVNTV.com is billed as “the first real-time streaming television network.” The site will utilize Microsoft’s new Silverlight technology to provide fans unable to make the free concert with a high quality viewing experience from the comfort of their own homes. “We are excited to partner with UVNTV.com and SxSW to bring this live concert into the homes of people globally, using our Silverlight technology which delivers the high-def experiences that Ice Cube’s fans will love,” said Rob Pulciani, Microsoft’s senior marketing manager. The veteran MC is also hard at work on his new solo album Raw Footage, which is scheduled to hit stores on June 17 through his own Lench Mob Records. The project will feature guest appearances from Nas, Scarface and WC. Cube’s last album, 2006’s Laugh Now, Cry Later debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart and became the largest selling independent Hip-Hop release of that year.

The film follows Durell (Ice Cube) and LeeJohn (Tracy Morgan), who are best friends and bumbling petty criminals. When they are told they have one week to pay a $17,000 debt or Durell will lose his son, they come up with a desperate scheme to rob their neighborhood church. Concept

Flo Rida explained the versatility of the album with the following, "I cover everything from hardships to struggle to the good times at the club. I got a song called 'Freaky,' I got party music, I got something for the car. I got all different types of music."

Flo Rida also elaborated on the title of the album stating, "Well, this record is like my special delivery for the fans. It’s not something you can get during the six regular mail delivery days. You need that extra day for your prized possessions. That’s Mail on Sunday."

Production and guests

T-Pain, who laced the first single, is only one of the many featured guests throughout the album.Timbaland, who produced the second single "Elevator", is also featured on the track.Rick Ross and Trey Songz are all scheduled to make appearances as well.Lil Wayne has also been added to the list with assistance on the "American Superstar" track while Sean Kingston appears on the J.R. Rotem-produced "Roll". Various other guests include Birdman, Brisco and Yung Joc.

As for production, J.R. Rotem, DJ Montay and Timbaland all provided tracks for Mail on Sunday, among others.

There is currently an unreleased track featuring T-Pain named "I Bet" circulating on the internet. It is still unknown if it will be a bonus for the album or included in a re-release.

Sales

The album debuted at number three on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, selling 85,891 copies in its first week.In the following week, it went down to number nine, selling 33,562 copies. In the third week, it went down to number fifteen, selling 27,979 copies, bringing the total to 147,723.[6] In the fourth week, it went down to number twenty-two, selling copies. In the fifth week, it went down to number thirty-one, selling 16,894 copies, bringing the total to 185,614.

Before Romeo became famous he was featured in some of his father's (Master P) early records. He is to star along with his father Master P in a new horror movie titled The Pig People.

More recently, Romeo launched a new record label with his father Master P called Take A Stand Records. The record label aims to release music without any explicit content.

Basketball career

Romeo was invited in the Summer or 2006 to the Reebok-sponsored ABCD Camp, considered the premier basketball camp in the United States. The Teaneck, New Jersey-based ABCD Camp is an invitation-only basketball showcase previously attended by high-profile players including Tracy McGrady, Kobe Bryant, Stephon Marbury, Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James. Romeo was named one of the top-20 players at the camp and played in the ABCD all-star game.

On April 13, 2007, Miller verbally committed to the University of Southern California (USC) and signed a letter of intent on November 19, 2007. Miller, a 6'0" point guard at Beverly Hills High School, a four year starter averaged 13.9 points and 5.6 assists per game during the 2006-2007 high school season.

It should be noted that a Wall Street Journal article on March 8, entitled "A Hot Prospect," cites Sonny Vaccaro, the longtime director of the ABCD Camp, as explaining, "he invited Romeo Miller to the 2006 camp, primarily as a favor to Percy Miller, whom he knew from the club basketball circuit. In the article, Vaccarro indicated, "If you're looking for the profile of an athlete who plays basketball at USC, he's not it."

According to the Wall Street Journal, it appears the decision to grant Miller a full scholarship at USC was largely driven by his relationship with Demar DeRozan of Compton, Calif.,the 6-foot-6 All-American forward who was rated as the No. 5 prospect in the country on Scout.com. The Wall Street Journal reported Coach Floyd as saying, "Last April...Percy Miller called while driving both players from a tournament in Fayetteville, Ark...Percy Miller said 'Demar and Romeo are ready to make their decision, and would you like to have them both on scholarship?'...'I said absolutely.'"

Clothing line

Romeo is a force behind the PMiller Clothing Line which emphasized quality clothes for a great price. Romeo is the CEO of the clothing line.

Acting career

He started his acting career with the 2003 film Honey. His character was Benny, a urban kid with some stylin' moves, but a major attitude. In this movie he co-starred with Zachary Isaiah Williams and Jessica Alba. In another 2003 film he made a cameo appearance in Max Keeble's Big Move as himself. Also in 2003 he stared in his own TV show called Romeo! on Nickelodeon. He co-stared with his dad in a movie called Uncle P in 2005. He also starred in another movie, God's Gift, which came out in 2006. Recently, he made a cameo appearance, as himself, in Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide as a rapping coach for the teachers.

"Infinite" is Eminem's first full-length and professionally packaged album. After years of cutting demo tracks with his mentors, the Bass Brothers, at their Ferndale, MI. studio (dubbed "The Bassment"), Eminem was ready to release his debut album. The album was written and recorded in 1995. At the time the album was first conceived, Eminem had been using the stage name M&M. However, he changed his stage name after the release of his first official single, Fuckin' Backstabber in early 1995. Infinite marks the debut of the name "Eminem." The album was only released on cassette and vinyl. Only 1,000 cassettes and 100 vinyls were made. Eminem himself, and old friends from around the time Infinite was recorded, have claimed the laid-back and humble nature of the album is due to Eminem purposely making "radio-friendly" songs in hopes of getting on the air of Detroit's leading Hip Hop radio station, WJLB-98. Bootlegged compact-disc copies are commonly found on sites such as eBay. The song "Backstabber" is a re-cut version of a song called "Fuckin' Backstabber", which is featured on a demo tape by Soul Intent.

The album received mixed critical reviews and was met with derision from within the local hip-hop community, earning Eminem unfavorable accusations of copying other rappers' styles, particularly Nas and AZ. Eminem recalls:
“Obviously, I was young and influenced by other artists, and I got a lot of feedback saying that I sounded like Nas and AZ. Infinite was me trying to figure out how I wanted my rap style to be, how I wanted to sound on the mic and present myself. It was a growing stage. I felt like Infinite was like a demo that just got pressed up.”

While it contains some swearing, Infinite is relatively inoffensive compared to the subsequent albums that would make Eminem famous.

In 2003 this album was released, although it seemed legitimate it was most likely pirated, containing many clicks, pops, and other defects in the sound quality. The "European Re-Issue" contains a bonus disc with freestyles and unreleased tracks, no names for these tracks are given on the case.

Soul Intent was an underground rap group active in the early to mid 1990s. They were originally called Bassmint Productions and played an important role in the development Eminem's career. The group consisted of rapper M&M (now Eminem), DJ Butterfingers, Chaos Kid (now Snafu), Manix (Butterfingers' brother), and Vitamin C.

History

Soul Intent recorded songs from about 1989 until about 1995. Interpersonal issues caused disagreement among members at various times, and now the crew is no longer officially together.They Recorded a song called Biterphobia, which features samples from various horror films as well as Audio Two's "Top Billin'", and the theme song from the Japanese Spiderman show

Racist Tapes

In 2003, racist tapes from Bassmint Productions were found by The Source (magazine). Chaos Kid wrote a letter to the editor that said they were making "Suckerin' Rymes" so that they can listen to the tapes in the future and laugh at how stupid they sounded. The Source left out important information on the tapes, and Chaos Kid threatened to find another interviewer to tell the truth.

Separation

In early 1995, Man-ix and his girlfriend moved to Florida to be close to his girlfriend's family. This left Eminem without a producer. This is when Eminem turned to future D12 member, Denaun Porter to handle the production on Eminem's debut album "Infinite." Eminem and Manix would never work together again. Eminem and Man-ix last worked together on "M&M's" cassette single, "Fuckin' Backstabber", providing production and arranging. Chaos Kid had not been a collaborator with Bassmint Productions or Soul Intent since about 1993. It was posted on www.RapBasement.Com that Chaos Kid and Eminem decided to stop working together due to their very different styles. However, it is believed the two remained friends. DJ Butterfingers last worked with Eminem on "Infinite", providing cuts and scratches on several tracks on the album. Eminem may have had a short beef with Chaos Kid, because in the "thank you's" on the Infinite artwork, Eminem fails to thank Chaos Kid. However, he does thank DJ Butterfingers and Man-ix. Even though Man-ix had "ditched" Eminem about a year earlier. Eminem would go on to thank Chaos Kid, DJ Butterfingers and Man-ix on his next two albums, "Slim Shady EP" and "The Slim Shady LP." However, on the two afore mentioned albums, Chaos Kid appears as "Snafu."

Where Are They Now

After being discovered by Dr. Dre, Eminem was signed to Aftermath Entertainment and has since become one of the world's most famous rappers. Chaos Kid does not rap much anymore. DJ Butter is still a DJ and, although uncredited, created a sample for D12 single Purple Pills in 2001. Manix and Vitamin C started recording another album to further Bassmint Productions, called A Second Coming Of Nice, but it was never released. DJ Butter and Chaos Kid also recorded an album in the late 1990's, but that album was not released either. Manix has since expressed hostility towards Chaos Kid, DJ Butter, and Eminem.

BIG SKEEM: I gotta be one of the hardest workin unsigned artists out there. I really feel like I should be further than what I am. I've dropped 2 mixtapes prior to BYAMN with a former partner...which name I'm not gonna say but them 2 tapes were my preperation in my younger days to becoming what I am now. I'm one of the fewest asian rappers out there that could easily take over this thing we call hip hop regardless of my nationality. Real recognize real so u gotta respect me. I'm from the small city of Lancaster Pennsylvania...age 22...Korean.....libra...lol.

ELADIO: How was your 1st step into the rap industry?Tell us your story.
BIG SKEEM: I used to rap for fun back when i was like 13-14 in middle school and people used to go crazy. But i never thought much about it until I moved and started my freshamn year of highschool. I became recognized heavily back then for battlin...and never losin...lol...I dont battle anymore but that was my start. I later generated some interested from the label Ruff Ryders in 2003. I was to be one of the 3 new artists signed to the newest branch off Ruff Ryders call "Ruff World" I stayed around them for a year or so thinking sooner or later I'd be on but that never happened. After that me and my partner at the time went are seperate ways and I basically took a year off and tried to figure out how I was going to continue to make music but as a solo artists. I finally decided to get my name out there more i would need to find a major artist to collab with to help me drop my 1st solo single...and that artist was Roc-a-fella artists Peedi Crakk. Once i dropped that record in late 2004 it was a wrap. I had radio, mixtapes, internet, everything all in one shot.
ELADIO: By any means necessary it's a hot mixtape how much work did u put in that album?

BIG SKEEM: That project took maybe a year and a half. I still feel it could of been alot better...more songs, no freestyles but live and learn, and the streets loved it so i can''t complain at all. That tape really helped me get out nationally and respected for what i was trying so hard to do. It took so long to do mainly because of the cost on each guest appearance. I was also paying for everything out of my pocket. Studio cost was damn near $100 a hour not including the mix and master. I really wanted to make sure i was happy with every track from beginning to end.

ELADIO: Certified is next,still a mixtape.When will you drop an album?

BIG SKEEM: Originally I wanted it to be a mixtape but now i prefer to call it my street album. 100% original production...Full length songs, major guest appearances, major production the whole nine. So to call it a mixtape i think kinda hurts the integrity of the project. So far i got 2 joints with Stack Bundles ( R.I.P), Freeway, Bynoe (Riot Squad),Peedi Crakk (gotta use it again...lol...its a classic!!!), Geolani, Billz, Lil Eto, S.One, my artist Young Haze, Phene and a few more surprises. Production wise I got Vinny Idol (D-Block), Majik (he did Jim Jones' track "Weatherman"), Metro Beats, Ghost (He's worked with Dip Set & Chamillionaire), Lokken Load Ent. (Cam'Ron, Stack Bundles, Paul Cain), Dj Herk, Cellz, Fresh P, Dj Nice (Dip Set), Baron Boys and some more i'm in the process of working with.

ELADIO: When will be out Certified?

BIG SKEEM: I'm pushing for April or may...June at the latest depending how long it takes to get everythign wrapped up like the cover and the mixing.

ELADIO: Can we know something about Certified?Who u workin with on the album?
BIG SKEEM: Pretty much answered that in question 5 but it will be executived produced by Geolani...ceo of the crew I'm wit Team Afficial. I was gonna have someone host it but like i said i dont want this to be considered a mixtape so i probably wont go that route.

ELADIO: What you think about those beefs in hip-hop?
BIG SKEEM: If they legit beefs i guess it is what it is but if you doing something like for instance Bow Wow Vs. Lil Romeo that shits corny as hell. Some beef is called for but i think if u really got a problem with someone you should handle direct not over a beat. Now a days too many people start beef just to get they name up and gain recognition. I refuse to do that, I will never make anyone feel famous of my work.

ELADIO: Right now,people in Europe is getting closer to your music.Do you have a message for them?

BIG SKEEM: I want my music to be respected and understood no matter where you live or what language u speak. Europe in my eyes is no different then the U.S. as far as fans and musicians. I appreciate everyone who appreciates me. Thanx again for this interview and anything else you guys do to help me in the future. I know I've been on a few mixtapes out of Europe and hopefully many more to come. Stay tuned..I'M HERE!!!!!!!!

Shady Records is an American record label specializing in hip hop music. Eminem and his manager Paul Rosenberg founded the label in 2000 after the release of The Marshall Mathers LP.

The label has signed seven acts over the years and is considerably successful, having RIAA certifications gone gold or higher on seven of its ten albums which have been released under it. Signed acts include D12, Obie Trice, 50 Cent, Stat Quo, Bobby Creekwater, and Cashis, whilst DJ Green Lantern was also signed to the label for a period of time.

History

2000–2004

After Eminem released The Marshall Mathers LP, he started his own record label in late 2000 with his manager, Paul Rosenberg. Eminem looked for an avenue to release his Detroit-based rap group, D12, and Rosenberg was keen to start a label, which lead to the two teaming up to form Shady Records.D12 had come around as the first to be signed as they have been rapping together since the 1990s, and the members had made a promise that whoever became successful would come back for the others. Eminem was the first to achieve this success, and kept to his word.By June 2001, D12 released Devil's Night to commercial success, peaking at number one on the Billboard 200.Next to be signed to Shady Records was Detroit rapper Obie Trice. Obie Trice was introduced to Eminem through D12 member Bizarre. Eminem was impressed and signed him in June 2001, as the second Shady Records performer.Obie Trice first got public attention via a freestyle skit on the Devil's Night album.

Whilst working on the film 8 Mile, Eminem had a meeting with then small time New York rapper 50 Cent. Eminem managed to get a hold of 50 Cent's early mixtapes and liked what he heard. Eminem took this to Dr. Dre and offered the chance to work together on the artist. Dr. Dre also liked what he heard, so he took the opportunity, and 50 Cent became the first artist signed to Shady Records and Aftermath Entertainment.The 8 Mile soundtrack was the second Shady Records album to be released, and went on to be successful.The first single to be released was "Lose Yourself", which achieved many nominations and also became a surprise win of an Academy Award for Best Original Song, as it was the first time a hip hop song had ever won this award.The second single was 50 Cent's "Wanksta", which was released as a buzz track and became popular in 50 Cent's home town.During this time, Eminem had also made a deal with DJ Green Lantern, who released the label's first mixtape, Invasion!, in 2002.He was to DJ for Eminem during the Anger Management Tour, and by the end of 2003, DJ Green Lantern became the fourth signee of Shady Records.

The third release from Shady Records was 50 Cent's Get Rich or Die Tryin', in February 2003 (which was also released under Aftermath Entertainment). The album became the fastest selling debut in U.S. history.Next to be released from Shady Records was Obie Trice's debut album, Cheers, six months later. Despite having been a commercial success, the album was considered overshadowed by 50 Cent's music at the time.In 2002 and 2003, Shady Records were involved in many controversies with the likes of the inherited Murder Inc. feud that 50 Cent and G-Unit was involved in, on-going problems with the previous co-owners of The Source magazine, namely Benzino,as well as escalating issues with rapper Royce da 5'9", who was previously a friend of Eminem and D12.

Towards the end of 2003, Dr. Dre and Eminem came to know Atlanta rapper Stat Quo, via his Underground Atlanta mixtapes. After Eminem heard his music, he gained interest and took it to Dr. Dre who also had interest in the music, and a joint deal was made.Stat Quo became the second artist to be signed to Shady/Aftermath, after 50 Cent. The following year saw the release of D12's second album, D12 World. Also, in 2004, Eminem and Rosenberg began a venture offered by Sirius Satellite Radio that saw the airing of their uncensored hip hop radio station, Shade 45.Shady Records DJ, DJ Green Lantern, was given the opportunity to have his own show,whilst 50 Cent's G-Unit DJ, DJ Whoo Kid, co-hosted G-Unit Radio on Saturdays

2005 – present

2005 saw the release of 50 Cent's second release, The Massacre, which set a record as the sixth fastest selling album since Nielsen SoundScan started tracking albums in 1991, with 1.14 million albums sold in four days.The album was a commercial success, and was only 32,000 records away from being the best-selling album of the year.On "Piggy Bank", a song off of the album, 50 Cent insulted several artists, including Jadakiss.The feud between Jadakiss and 50 Cent indirectly led to DJ Green Lantern leaving Shady Records. A few months after the release of The Massacre, Jadakiss appeared on a street DVD, and had DJ Green Lantern on loudspeaker through his phone, without Green Lantern being aware of this. The DJ shared his thoughts on how to deal with the feud. When the DVD was released and Eminem found out about what happened, Green Lantern had to leave Shady Records and Shade 45, and his upcoming album, Armageddon, was no longer a Shady Records-related project.

In August 2005, Eminem and the XXL magazine teamed up to release a special issue titled XXL Presents Shade 45, and was designed to give maximum exposure to Shade 45 as a radio station, and at the same time give maximum exposure to the Shady Records label as a whole, as well as the radio DJ's and G-Unit Records' artists. XXL executive publisher, Jonathan Rheingold, stated that typically magazines based around particular artists were not favorable, but "since Shade 45 is a truly authentic and uncensored rap radio channel, the marriage with the XXL brand made sense," before adding that it's what would interest rap fans.2005 also saw the signing of Bobby Creekwater to the label, making him the sixth artist and the second Atlanta-based rapper.

In early 2006, West Coast rapper Cashis joined Shady Records. Cashis, is an Orange County-based rapper that was born in Chicago who had managed to get his demo/mixtape heard by Eminem.Later in 2006, Obie Trice released his second album, Second Round's on Me. However, the album did not fare as well commercially as his debut, seemingly because of the state of the hip-hop industry.The album saw a change in Obie Trice's style, whose first album was considered to be a little light-hearted. Second Round's on Me was considered to be a more serious, dark album, mainly showing the grittiness of Obie Trice's life and surroundings.

2006 was also a big year for Shady Records as a whole. There had been talk from early in the year of Eminem having the label's roster on a mixtape with new material to be presented by DJ Whoo Kid and The Alchemist.This talk went on for several months. In the end, it was announced that Eminem was so impressed with the mixtape material that he had decided to make it an official album, called Eminem Presents the Re-Up. The album had been long anticipated, until it was released in early December 2006. The release had spawned the single "You Don't Know", which featured 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, and the latest signee Cashis.

In May 2007, Cashis released the eight-track The County Hound EP in an attempt to have people "fiend" for his music, or garner interest in it. The album was released as a limited edition EP.September saw the release of 50 Cent's third album with the label, Curtis, which was involved in a well publicized competition with rapper Kanye West, who had his third album, Graduation set for release on the same day.

Ice Cube prepares ninth album "Raw Footage"

After the success of his 2006 effort "Laugh Now, Cry Later," Ice Cube is returning with his ninth solo album "Raw Footage," which will be released independently via his own Lench Mob Records imprint.

"Raw Footage" will include guest spots from Musiq Soulchild, Nas, Scarface and WC, with production help from Emile, DJ Crazy Toones, Fred Wreck, and others.

Cube also announced that he will be headlining a concert at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas on March 15.

"Raw Footage" is expected to be released on June 17.

Album Sales: Webbie cracks Billboard top 5, Janet and Erykah Badu battle for top spot

For the first time in quite a while, a hip-hop albums has cracked Billboard's top 5. The honor goes to Webbie, who's "Vol. 2-Savage Life" came in at #4 this week overall, selling 72,497 copies.

Meanwhile Janet Jackson edged Erykah Badu for the #1 spot with her new album "Discipline", moving 181,452. Badu's "New Amerykah" settled for #2, at 123,884 units.

Despite the success of his smash single "Dey Know", Shawty Lo's debut "Units In The City" had to settle for a dissapointing #13 overall, selling just 31,017 units.

Last weeks #1 hip-hop album, Jim Jones's "Harlem's American Gangster" plummeted from #19 overall to #63, moving 11,880, bringing the Capo to 37,008 total.

On the non-Koch indy tip, Pete Rock's "NY's Finest" sneaked into the Top 200 at #193, selling 3,900 units, while Joe Budden's "Mood Muzik 3" was on the outside looking in, moving 1159 copies.

The Elephant in the Room is the planned eighth album by Fat Joe and it will be released on March 11, 2008. It will feature guest appearances from Dre, Lil Wayne, Jackie Rubio, Pooh Bear, Swizz Beatz, J. Holiday, and Opera Steve.

While Fat Joe calls the first song released off the album ("The Crackhouse") a street banger; the first hit single is "I Won't Tell" featuring J. Holiday.On December 18, 2007, Fat Joe released the video for "I Won't Tell" featuring J. Holiday. Many of his close friends in the hip-hop scene make cameo appearances in the video.

In January 2008, Fat Joe gave the fans more information on his new album on BET's Rap City. You can see the video in the reference to the right.

On January 30, 2008, Fat Joe revealed the new "300" music video on his myspace page. You can find it here. It is the second main single off the album; and the third single overall.

On March 5th, 2008 the album was leaked online on various peer to peer networks.

Bun B receives contributions from many stars as he prepares "II Trill"

Bun B is preparing his first release since his UGK partner Pimp C died in late 2007.

B revealed to Billboard.com that "II Trill" will be released on April 29th, and will kick off with the first single "That's Gangsta" featuring Sean Kingston, and produced by JR Rotem.

"II Trill" features a star-studded guest list that includes the late Pimp C, Lupe Fiasco, Lil Wayne, David Banner, Rick Ross, Mya, Chamillionaire, Slim Thug, Webbie, Mike Jones, 8 Ball and MJG, Z-Ro, Junior Reid and Paul Wall's new group Expensive Taste, which includes Travis Barker and Skinhead Rob.

In addition to Rotem, production on the album is being handled by Mr. Lee, Scott Storch, Jazze Pha, Bigg Tyme, Black Out Movement, Khalil and Clinton Sparks.

Juvenile's Daughter Murdered

According to TMZ.com, 17 year old Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr. was arrested today and charged with killing his mother, who was a local sheriff's deputy, and his two small sisters. One of those little girls was the daughter of New Orleans rapper Juvenile.

Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr. allegedly gunned down his mother, Gwinnett County Sheriff's Deputy Joy Deleston, 39, and her two daughters, Micaiah, 11, and Jelani, 4.

Jelani was Juvenile's daughter. In 2003, the rapper, whose real name is Terius Gray, was arrested for abandonment of a dependent child after a DNA test determined he was the father.

The shooter has been charged with three counts of murder and three counts of aggravated assault. He is currently being held in the DeKalb County Jail.

In 2002, Daz and his longtime friend Kurupt parted ways when Kurupt signed a deal with Suge Knight to become the Vice President of Death Row Records. Daz, along with Snoop Dogg and other D.P.G. members, did not take the news lightly and decided to cut all ties with Kurupt. For almost three years Daz and Kurupt remained separate, with Daz speaking of the D.P.G. never forgiving him for what they viewed as him turning his back on the gang. It wasn't until April 1, 2005 that Kurupt reached out and sent a message to Daz and Snoop, saying he would no longer talk bad about them and that he hoped things could be resolved. Daz and Snoop and the rest of the D.P.G. accepted to take Kurupt back, and said they planned to start making music again. Tha Dogg Pound was now back together and 7 months later they released "Dillinger & Gotti II: Tha Saga Continuez", as well as working on many upcoming projects such as Terry Choe a.k.a Teezy's new album, "Blue Dreamz" to be released in late 2006. Tha Dogg Pound reuniting made Snoop Dogg call a West Coast Conference. Many rappers from the West Coast attended the meet, many came who were enemies with each other and the mission of the meet was to clear bad blood between people. Many rappers got issues resolved and this was considered a small step to gathering the West Coast in unity.

T.I. talked about working with Eminem saying, "We did three records. One we did for him. You know how Marshall Mathers and Slim Shady have their beefs? Well [on that song], T.I. is trying to tell Marshall how to deal with Slim based on how he deals with Tip. Then Tip butts in, like, 'You can't tell nobody nothing.' Then Em comes in and tells me, 'Who are you to tell me anything?' I was like, 'I'm just trying to help, homie.' " [1] T.I. stated in an interview that the track recorded for Eminem's album features T.I., T.I.P., Slim Shady, and Marshall Mathers.

50 Cent confirmed that Eminem is secretly recording a new album. He said, "He's got a new album coming. He's not gonna tell people that, but he's making new music. I've heard a few songs, and it's hot. He won't tell nobody he's working on a new album, but I'll tell you: he's working on new music. And once he locks into it, like, 'This is my favourite s**t,' it's gonna come out." When asked if the new material is angry or wacky, Jackson replies, "Both. The whole range. You know, Michael Jordan was supposed to play basketball. Floyd Mayweather was meant to box. And Eminem was meant to rap.". During an interview with the UK magazine Loaded, he added that he has also "laid down a track" with Eminem for his new record.

Cashis attested to the new album, referring to it as "King Mathers". He said that it would be released in 2007, and that he would also be featured on the album.However, Eminem's publicist, Dennis Dennehy, said that there is no album scheduled for a 2007 release, and claimed that the KingMathers.com website is "bogus".Stat Quo also confirmed that a new Eminem album will be released.

Eminem called in to the New York City based radio station Hot 97 to congratulate 50 Cent on Curtis, released the day before. Eminem stated that right now he is in "limbo" and that he does not know if and when he will release his next album. Later he elaborated, "I'm always working, I'm always in the studio. It feels good right now, the energy of the label ... I was going through some personal things. I'm coming out of those personal things [and] it feels good."During an interview with Los Angeles Times, Dr. Dre confirmed that he will now devote two months to work on Eminem's new highly-anticipated album, saying "We'll be trying to get his thing done and work on a few things on my own project"

Bizarre of D12 stated that the new D12 album is "on hold", because Interscope wants Eminem to release his album first.When asked if Eminem is involved in his new album, he responded "Nah, I did this album quick, so I really didn’t have time to reach out to him. I just want to be Bizarre and not focus on Marshall at all."

The Alchemist spoke of Eminem and stated that he is still working on rap music everyday and his new material was on 'another level'. He said, "Eminem is one of the greatest of all time, and you know he's not done with rap music. He's definitely still working. I mean, come on - this is Eminem, this is what he does. I can't tell you when he's coming or what not, but know that every day he wakes up...he's musically inclined, so you know he's creating something incredible."

When asked about Eminem's new album during an interview, Bishop Lamont responded, "No, but we’re actually going to be doing…I don’t want too get deep into it. It’s a lot of magic going on, you know what I’m sayin’? You could see a “Bad Meets Evil” part 2, just like Royce and Em got down, shouts out to the big homeboy Royce. We’re brainstorming something really fresh, so you’re definitely gonna see a collaboration. I’m gonna stop there! I want surprises for “The Reformation,” but yeah, there’s gonna be some magic. Em’s got a crazy album, I can say that!"

During an interview, Obie Trice mentioned Eminem's new album saying, "Well, Marshall, Chi?, Trying to put out his album, you know, his album's done, his album is Incredible, I'm looking at after he drops, maybe we get in there hopefully by you know the summer, begining of the summer I have something out here."
